US 95 Pend Oreille Long Bridge Rehabilitation

The US 95 Pend Oreille Long Bridge in Sandpoint, Idaho, serves a major transportation corridor carrying more than 18,000 vehicles each day through northern Idaho toward Canada.

The rehabilitation project included protective HDPE wrap installation on more than 1,544 bridge pilings using diving operations, substructure repairs to 261 pile bents, and bearing pad replacements for 250 bridge deck sections. Additional work addressed surface damage, seals, expansion joints, railings, lighting, and traffic identification devices, with construction planned to minimize disruption to highway traffic.
