Techniques include:

• Ultrasonic testing (UT)
  Measures material thickness and helps identify corrosion and wall loss in tanks, piping, and other components.

• Magnetic particle testing (MT)
  Detects surface and near-surface discontinuities in steel welds, connections, and other ferromagnetic materials.

• Liquid penetrant (PT)
  Detects surface-breaking cracks and other discontinuities in nonporous materials, including metals that cannot be examined using magnetic particle testing.

• Visual testing (VT)
  Documents visible corrosion, deformation, cracking, coating failure, and other signs of deterioration.

• Vacuum Box testing (VB)

  Detects pinhole leaks and other through-wall discontinuities in welds to verify weld integrity and leak tightness.
