KRC was selected by Petro 49, Inc. to conduct annual CP inspections at fuel facilities across Alaska. Locations included Cordova, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Wrangell, Homer, Kodiak, Skagway, Seward, and Juneau (Auke Bay).
Each site featured a different configuration — ranging from galvanic systems in remote communities to impressed current installations at larger terminals. KRC’s flexible methodology and regulatory familiarity ensured consistent performance and thorough documentation at every site.

Cathodic Inspection Methodology
Every CP survey includes standardized testing and detailed documentation. Common tasks include structure-to-soil potential measurements using On and Instant Off methods, inspection and adjustment of rectifiers, and isolation flange testing. For sacrificial anode systems, we evaluate galvanic performance and site-specific corrosion risk.
When needed, we incorporate corrosion coupon analysis, review historical data trends, and prepare all necessary documentation for internal teams or regulatory submission.
